Members of the East African Coalition of Waterloo Region are appealing to you to volunteer two to four hours a week and provide after school homework support for children in grades 1-12. The projects started on September 21/2020.
East African Coalition received Emergency Community Support Grant through United Way Waterloo Region and Youth in Recreation from the KW Community Foundation to ensure support is available for as many students is possible during the pandemic, including virtual assistance.

Community rallying to support a much needed pilot initiative – find out more about ‘A Better Tent City’! We hope to see more temporary better tent cities, encampments with supports and access to basic needs, until housing is available to all!
